Awards judging begins March 1, 2025, and concludes April 7, 2025. Instructions, sign-up forms and contracts will be sent to judges.

Judging the Catholic Media Awards

Qualifications and information:

• Professional journalism experience.
• Knowledge of Catholicism.
• Fluency in Spanish a plus.
• Judge may not be a CMA member or an employee of a CMA member publication.
• Must have experience or background in the category you would like to judge.
• The judging period for the Catholic Media Awards takes place March 1, 2025 through April 7, 2025. New judges are typically assigned about 100 entries but you have the option to choose an amount.
• Résumé is required for consideration.

Judging the CMA Book Awards

Qualifications and information:

• Knowledge of the publishing industry.
• Knowledge of Catholicism.
• Background knowldedge of the category you would like to judge.
• Judge may not be a CMA member or an employee of a CMA member publication.
• The judging period for the Catholic Media Awards takes place March 1, 2025 through April 7, 2025. New judges are typically assigned about 10 entries but you have the option to choose an amount.
• Résumé is required for consideration.

Judging the St. Juan Diego Collegiate Awards

Qualifications and information:

• Knowledge of the publishing industry.
• Knowledge of Catholicism.
• Background knowldedge of the category you would like to judge.
• Judge may be a CMA member or an employee of a CMA member publication.
• The judging period for the Catholic Media Awards takes place March 1, 2025 through April 7, 2025. New judges are typically assigned about one to two categories, but you have the option to choose an amount.
• Résumé is required for consideration.

Judging the Gabriel Awards

Qualifications and information:

• Knowledge of the media industry.
• Background knowldedge of the category you would like to judge. 
• Judge may be a CMA member or an employee of a CMA member publication.
• The judging period for the Catholic Media Awards takes place March 1, 2025 through April 7, 2025. New judges are typically assigned about two to five categories but you have the option to choose an amount.
• Résumé is required for consideration.
